February 5, 2025
Following the publication of the PRIMA GO Science Book Volume 1 in November 2023, the PRIMA team is now soliciting contributions for the PRIMA GO Science Book Volume 2, for publication expected in the Summer of 2025.
Complementing Volume 1, Volume 2 will further illustrate the breadth and impact of the PRIMA GO science program by gathering examples of realistic GO science cases, prepared by community members with the editing assistance of the PRIMA team. Cases in Volume 2 will leverage the time estimates from the PRIMA Exposure Time Calculator, as well as updated information on instrument and telescope performance. Submission of updated cases from Volume 1 is encouraged for inclusion in Volume 2.
- Please use this template to prepare your submission.
- Use this form to upload your contribution by May 30, 2025.
You should hear back from the PRIMA GO Book Editors over the following months.
At any time in the development of your GO science case, please do not hesitate to reach out to Editors Arielle Moullet and Denis Burgarella, or anyone on the PRIMA team who you think is most appropriate to guide you. For a detailed description of PRIMA's capabilities, please refer to the instrument page and the Exposure Time Calculator. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any question that may not be directly addressed in those documents.
The deadline for submissions is May 30, 2025.
Anyone considering contributing to the GO book is strongly encouraged to participate in our Community Webinar on February 25th. During this webinar, PRIMA science team members will be on hand to share tools for planning future science observations and to answer your questions.
We solicit contributions for any scientific area relevant to PRIMA observations. Thank you for your interest and contribution to the PRIMA GO science portfolio! The PRIMA team is grateful for the community support we received in the NASA Step 1 proposal phase and are now soliciting during Phase A.
